Our home base is Coquitlam, British Columbia. However, we do projects throughout all Canada and USA!
Step 0: Discovery Call
We always start with a complimentary consultation to get to know you, your basic design goals, budgets, timelines and any other questions that come up. From this discussion we will create a detailed project proposal.
Step 1: Predesign
This is our information gathering phase — What we do before we start the process. An in-depth conversation with you will determine how we can best tailor the design to your needs and lifestyle. At this stage we will also perform a site review, site analysis and municipal research.
Step 2: Schematic Design
This is where the rough shape of the building and ideas are formed. We typically generate options to consider, and are delivered through sketches, mood boards and any other mediums necessary to convey our approach.
Here we’ll begin to develop floor plans & elevations, site layout & access and initial 3D models.
Step 3: Design Development
Here we begin to create the drawings digitally. This is where the project becomes real, and the design is finalized. Included will be Floor Plans, Elevations, Sections and Renders (3D/VR) to showcase the design and flow in presentation form. We will also confirm all material and colour selections for the project.
For all projects, Wile Designs provides photo realistic 3D renderings and/or Virtual Reality upon request. State-of-the-art Renderings and/or VR packages allow our clients to see their homes before the building begins. We do not like surprises during construction, and nor should you!
Step 4: Construction Documents
When the design is complete, we move toward construction! At this stage, we provide detailed drawings for Consultant Coordination, Permits and Construction.
At this stage, we’re creating the drawings that the Contractors will work from. These typically include detailing all unique construction, annotations, specs, notes and coordinating with all other consultants. Along with this stage, we’re preparing all documentation to submit to the city.
Step 5: Construction Observation (Upon Request)
At Wile Designs we love to stay with you every step of the way. During this phase, upon request, we are able to perform site reviews, shop drawing reviews, revisions and a wide variety of other items, so you’re not left alone in the dark!
